About Us

Bailando Sin Fronteras (BSF) is a mission-driven initiative dedicated to supporting the next generation of Rio Grande Valley dance artists. The organization recognizes the challenges students face when pursuing dance beyond high school—navigating auditions, understanding college applications, and planning their next steps can be overwhelming without guidance or resources.

BSF provides mentorship, tools, and information through programs like the College Prep Cohort, helping high school seniors confidently pursue higher education and artistic growth. Beyond the cohort, BSF offers resources for students and families at every stage of their dance journey, opening doors and building pathways from local talent to broader opportunities.

More than a program, BSF is a movement to empower border youth to chase their dreams without limits, honor their talent, and show that with the right guidance, anything is possible.
Hello! I’m Layzabeth Gonzale, a dance artist and educator from Brownsville, TX with a BFA in Dance from Sam Houston State University. Over the past 10 years, I’ve taught a wide range of classes from creative movement for toddlers to professional development for educators and have taught with organizations like Hubbard Street Dance Chicago and Ballet Hispánico in New York City. Mentorship and artistry are at the heart of my work, and I believe everyone deserves access to the resources that help bring our creative visions to life.
